MARIA CECILIA D. AQUINO, M.D., Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) graduated from University of Santo Tomas, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Manila, Philippines where she received her medical degree.  Her residency training in Ophthalmology was from the university hospital of the same institution.  She was conferred Diplomate in Ophthalmology by the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology and Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology by the National University of Singapore.  She received subspecialty training in Glaucoma at National University Hospital, National University Health System, Singapore and joined the Glaucoma Unit of the said institution.  She is actively involved in clinical and in research and development of newer modalities of glaucoma treatment such as micropulse cyclophototherapy and glaucoma drainage implant.
