Dr. Osamu Hieda is Assistant Professor and Cornea & Refractive Surgery Specialist of the Department of Ophthalmology at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (KPUM) Kyoto, Japan.Dr. Hieda’s clinical and research interests focus on refractive surgery, myopia, keratoconus, and corneal transplantation, and he has conducted numerous teaching courses in refractive surgery, femtosecond-assisted corneal transplantation, and myopia control at conferences in Japan. Alongside his full-time clinical work at KPUM, Dr. Hieda served as Director at the Baptist Eye Institute, Kyoto, Japan from 2005 to 2010 and is widely known for his expertise in cornea and refractive surgery.
